where do you meet good guys?
I’m 20, I live alone in Boston. I’m not old enough to go to a bar/ club and I work in a mall in a women’s clothing store, which is more on the upscale side yet 99% of men who come in my store are purchasing for their girlfriends/wives. also the rest of the mall is relatively trashy to say the least and there are very few men that work there that i would even be remotely interested in (this is my part-time job) i also went to school in the spring and met absolutely no one. And i AM NOT being picky. i can’t go to bars and clubs because of my age, and i don’t really think thats the kind of man i want to meet anyhow. i just don’t know where to go to or how to put myself out there. i’ve even tried craigslist, but no cigar. i’m a little too broke and i don’t want to seem so desperate to post on a dating website. any ideas?
well, you know that you wouldn’t want the kind of guy that goes to bars/clubs, so go to places where you would want a guy you’re interested in to hang out (a bookstore, a cafe, a park, somewhere where you can spend a couple hours at without seeming strange! haha)
or get envolved in other activities…join a volunteer group or something like that…there are some that meet only on the weekends or once a week if you don’t have lots of extra time
or, try having some of your friends set you up! that isn’t always the best idea, but if you trust your friends judgement, then it’s worth a shot! that or speed dating…
or, you could just enjoy being single and stop worrying about finding mr. right. go out and enjoy the single life! he’ll find you eventually! ; )
