Moving to Austin, Texas from Houston…?
The decision was made just this afternoon.
I’ll be making $75,000 annually with my new job.
I am age 28, friendly, outgoing, laid-back, love live music, and still searching for the girl that capitivates me. Most importantly, I love Texas, and know that while Austin is nothing like Texas, it is at the same time so much like Texas. I’ll miss my friends and Astros here in Houston, as it too is a great city. But I’m looking forward to calling Austin home.
What are some other things to do, other than the usual Sixth Street, SoCo, etc. Nothing wrong with those places, but how about parks? Bars? Nightclubs? Other strips? Places to pick up women? Other “must know” or “inside” tips about Austin?
I’m already looking at apartments on the southwest side, closer to Hill Country and away from the most crime and worst traffic.

LOL, I agree: Austin IS a way better pick than Kentucky. WAY better! More mellow atmosphere.
