How much capital would I need to open up a hookah bar in the san antonio area?
I am thinking about opening up a hookah bar in the san antonio, TX area. how much capital would I need to raise to do something like this? I would need how much rent for a part of a commercial business complex? How much money for licensing and all the rest? furniture, interior design etc? thanks
First, you need to do a lot of reading. Hit up a Barnes and Nobles or some other book store and live in their small business section for about a month.
Break it down simple like.
Years worth of your living expenses: whatever that is, trust me on that one. My Failed Coffee Shop taught me that, the slow months in the first 3 years will kill you.
Advertising: Varies with area but at first at least $2000
Rent: Varies on location even within a city. 5 Months of Rent.
Furniture: Buy used $2000
Interior Design: $2000
Initial Hookah Purchase: $1500 Get quality and plenty so you aren’t cleaning all the time
Initial Tobacco Purchase $2500
Licensing will probably be about $300
