Kent is located in the south east of england, shaping it one of the home counties. kent is bordered by East Sussex, Surrey, London & Essex. as well as these, Kent has a border with France, which is halfway through the channel tunnel. Maidstone is kent’s county town & Canterbury is the only city in the county.

Kent is renowned for its hop gardens & orchards, so it’s regularly called england’s garden.

London has a long & fascinating history, which initiated when the romans established the first major settlement there in AD 43 following the Roman conquest of great britain.

London was especially prosperous in the eighteenth century & it became the biggest city in the world from 1831 to 1925. the growth of the city was aided by London’s first railways, which put rural towns within easy reach of the city. The train network expanded very quickly, which made London grow into its surrounding areas & come together with close by settlements such as Kensington.

Ever since then, London continues to thrive & it remains one of the world’s biggest cities.

Kent is a massive county, so it has plenty of marvellous museums & art galleries to explore. one of kent’s finest museums is the RNLI Museum in Chatham, which is situated in a beautiful old building that originated in 1848. The museum has a lifeboat gallery with seventeen historical boats & the museum also gives visitors more information about the rnlis great work.

Another marvellous museum is the Canterbury Museum & gallery. This marvellous place is based in a Victorian structure & has a fantastic collection of exhibits & other artifacts.

As well as marvellous museums & art galleries, Kent also has some beautiful green spaces. in actual fact, Kent has Port Lympne & Howletts, which are animal parks that let you experience beautiful countryside, whilst looking at some some stunning animals.

The shopping in kent is superb & should not be missed. even though the bigger towns have loads of high street stores & designer stores, the unusual independent stores are even better.

In fact, the county has many farmers markets, which are a exciting place to pick up Kentish apple juice, handmade bread & other yummy produce.

Kent is a wonderful place to visit for a fun night out. Whether you like visiting quiet public houses or noisy night clubs, the county has things for everyone to enjoy.

The county also has some wonderful live music venues, including the Tap n Tin in Chatham. The tap n tin attracts touring bands, as well as some local acts, so you will be able to watch the next big things in a teeny venue.

If you’d like to visit Kent, you’ll find a wide variety of accommodation on offer. From relaxing b & bs and guesthouses, to big boutique hotels, there is things for everyone to enjoy.

One of the best hotels is the Hilton in Dartford, in addition to The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells.
