Why Turkey Vacation Should Be On Your Bucket List
Turkey is a a beautiful country located in between Europe and Asia and considered a gateway between. Turkey is located on the Mediterranean and bordered by Black Sea, Agean Sea and Marmara Sea. Turkey is a fascinating country with more than 6000 miles of coastline and many historical places. When people hear about Turkey or travelling to Turkey the first question is: “Is it safe?” and usually had the impression that is a middle east country where it`s not safe for a vacation. This is totally wrong. Turkey is safe for travelling, well I can say maybe it`s as much as dangerous driving a car in downtown. Also Turkey is a modern country which is not any different than any Europe countries where you can find anything you need, shopping centers, malls, nightlife, historical places, bazaars, movie theatres etc. Turkey is a melting pot of Islamic roots and modern western orientation.
Ankara is the capital city of Turkey but Istanbul is the biggest city and should be your first stop when you visit. This is a city of palaces, historical places, sultans, harems, where you will see the signs of Ottoman Empire every place you visit.
Turkish people are very warm and hospitable and welcoming any religious and race of people. You will feel like home when you meet Turkish people, also Turkish culture is very close to Italian culture where it`s almost always about eating and fun. They will always offer and share their food so don`t think it`s weird and just accept it.
Golden sandy beaches, lively nightclubs, never ending nightlife, where you can find four seasons and enjoy all types of sport activities.
Istanbul should be your first stop when you travel to Turkey, I would recommend at least 3 days or a week if you have time, since there are many places to see. Only Topkapi Palace will take a full day to visit. Sultanahmet is another popular city for tourists where you should see Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and underground city. Don`t forget to taste delicious Turkish kabop and doner (better than gyro).
East Coast:
Bodrum is the best place to see if you are looking for night life. In Bodrum everyday is like Rio festival until morning. Ephesus, Kusadasi, Didim are the other little cities on the east coastline that you can stay. Butterfly valley is also one of the places that should be on your bucket list. Butterfly Valley is a hidden heaven where you can only travel by boat. Pamukkale is another interesting place to see where you will find a mountain looks like snow or covered by cotton. Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish, the view is generated by some element in the water which turns all the rocks pure white color.
South Coast:
Antalya, Kemer, Side, Alanya (Olympos) are the top cities where you can find miles of golden sand beaches and enjoy the crystal clear water.
Enjoy the Turkish baths, doner & kabop, Turkish delight, never ending night life and miles of coastline, great hospitality, great deals for shopping, all European brands, Turkish carpets and jewelry.
