Cairns -are there any groups for single parents?

Hi, i have recently seperated from my husband and have 3 kids aged 10 to 14. Due to the oldest having special needs i had to resign from my job a few months back and am now homeschooling him. This has left me with limited avenues to develop friendships.

Does anyone know of any groups in Cairns, where i can meet new people, have coffee, drinks, fun,chats etc..

I am not into nightclubs as i am 38 years old (feel about 58 -right now). I am also not looking for romance – just friends.
