How is Clearwater Beach, FL for spring break?
Im a college student and my buddies and I (about 8 of us) are looking to go to Clearwater beach for spring break. I looked at Shephard’s Beach Resort for a place to stay since they have a tiki bar and a nightclub right there but I have also read some bad reviews about it. So for anyone who has been to clearwater, i was wondering if you can still go to Shephard’s tiki bar and nightclub if you dont stay there. I am looking to either get a nice condo or house that sleeps around 8 ppl. Also are there other nightclubs, bars, etc. Names would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks!
Y bor (sp) city is close by and that’s where all the bars are at but its a cab ride away. I went to Clearwater a few years ago for spring break and enjoyed myself. There were several bars that offered happy hour specials and we just went from one to the other getting all the free food and drink deals. There really aren’t that many clubs, just bars. And mostly big name chains. The first Hooters ever opened is there. There is also a place called Cooters that had excellent buffalo shrimp. There is also Frenchys which has excellent sea food. There is also a small hotel, may not even be there still, run by an old Italian guy called something like Alfonzos or something like that. He has great pizzas and he is a nice guy. One day we went to the marina and got fresh crabs just caught and had our own crab boil. We went to Shepard’s one night for the bar. The food down there is great. The beach is clean and nice- a long walk to the water through. But its not really a party scene in the sense like PCB or that. You can still have fun.
