How much should I charge for designing some cds?

I finished a graphic design degree 3 years ago but since then have got married, moved house, had a baby etc so haven’t done much in the way of design work. Recently a friend of mine has asked me to design some nightclub posters/flyers/logo etc which I did for free (as he is a friend) However a friend of his has asked me to design some cds with inserts. I have no idea what to charge for this. can anyone help me come to a figure? Preferably someone who works in the design business. Thanks (I’m in the UK)

i was in a similar situation a couple of months ago, i was making nightclub posters for the nightclub i worked in part time while studying HND graphic design
I asked my tutor how to go about doing freelance work
(which is the correct term for what u are doing)

he stated ” you ask the client how much they are willing to pay for it and then if you (the designer) feel happy with the price then accept, if not then ask for more, if the client isnt happy with the price and then doesnt want to offer any more then either accept the offer on the table or walk away.” (His words not mine)
however what i done was got a quote from the printers to see how much it would cost to print the publication and then added 100% more on top
eg if the printer quotes £20.00 for 80 A5 flyers then charge the client £40.00 therefore you are making 100% profit and getting paid for the design process as well
