how is the nightlife in lagos,nigeria?
I am travelling to Lagos,Nigeria and will be staying there for six months. can anyone tell how are the bars and nightclubs in lagos. is it safe for foreigners
It is very bustling with life.Even if you have reliable and trustworthy companions it is not 100% safe.This is not because Nigeria is a criminal place with no Godfearing people quite contrary ;my experience has been positive and I like it there and know how best to enjoy myself with people.It is pettycrime and some vicious crime borne out of poverty and a lack of education that can get a foreigner into heaps of trouble.You can go out even at night if you have people around you that are familiar with the city and its customs.There are clubs; very fancy ones on Victoria Island,very simple ones all over the city and good live music in certain places.Go to the African Shrine on a saturday night it is great entertainment and nobody disturbs nobody.The thing is not to get carried away and become confused.Find people you can trust but be wary always and you will enjoy.Most hassle comes from eating lousy food that gives you bellyproblems and mosquitoes in some places.One tip is not to eat fish from roadstalls with a lot pepperseeds on it.
Second is not give people too much information and never venture into places alone.
