What to wear at nightclub during winter?

I’m going to a nightclub this Thursday in Minneapolis, MN with my friends so I’m not sure what to wear. We will be outside for a while, taking subway and wait in line. Is black formal pants suitable? What kind of shoes I should wear? Top? (I’m a girl)
well what if i wear a jacket and it gets hot?
