New Year’s Eve in St. Louis, MO…?

My husband and I are 27 and 21, respectively, and are visiting St. Louis for the holidays and are looking for a fun place to celebrate New Year’s. I’ve read a lot about Laclede’s (sp) Landing, and Washington Ave. We are looking for either a bar or club, preferably with VIP, that is good for dancing, drinking, and an all around good time. Nothing too rowdy and obnoxious. Nothing too boring either…ideally an upscale-ish hip hop scene….any suggestions??? We’re really open for ideas so…yea, any suggestions are good…or even suggestions for places to definately stay away from. Thanks

The Landing will be packed for New Years. The good thing about the Landing is it has several options. So if you don’t like the bar you are in, you can walk to another one. To save money on a cab and to make sure you have a designated driver, the best thing to do would be get a hotel room downtown. Most hotels downtown have free shuttle rides to the clubs and casinos.
