Manchester boasts a population of over 450,000 and has been considered a city since 1853. in a 2006 poll of british business leaders, the city was found to be the best place in the uk to locate a business. as well as this, Manchester hosted the commonwealth games in 2002, and has a number of other connections to sport, which contain the city being home to man united.
Manchester was the first industrialised city in the world & it was at the centre of the industrial revolution. Due to its impressive canal network & nineteeth century mills, Manchester City Centre is now on a proposed list of world heritage sites. However, many of these cotton mills have now been made into flats and offices.
These days, manchester remains really proud of its industrial history. despite this, it has become a busy, candid city that is widely known as the capital of the northwest.
Manchester has plenty of activities to do, comprising of sometimes fabulous art galleries & museums, which are really fun to explore.
These include the museum of science & industry, which tells the story of Manchester’s rich industrial past. The museum holds touring exhibits too, & recently held the renowned bodyworlds exhibit. The city’s finest art galleries include the whitworth art gallery, which boasts some excellent pieces.
Manchester also boasts some beautiful park spaces, so you’ll be able to enjoy a wholesome day out there.
Manchester is well-known for its amazing opportunities for shopping, which cater to every taste. Indeed, you will find everything in the city, from high end designer outlets such as harvey nicks to high street retailers such as new look and HMV.
If you would rather go to alternative shops, you will not be disappointed either. in fact, the city has sometimes wonderful music shops, vintage stores and other quirky retailers situated in the northern quarter.

You could start your night with a pint of real ale in one of the city’s quirky public houses. on the other hand, you can enjoy a glass of rose wine or a yummy cocktail in one of Manchester’s more classy wine bars. after that, you could move on to another cocktail bar or even to a nightclub, where you will be able to dance away the evening. needless to say Manchester boasts a wide range of nightclubs, which means that you are sure to discover one that plays the music you like.
Manchester has branches of much major hotel chains, so you’ll find some great places to stay. you’ll be able to choose from the likes of the Hilton, the malmaison & the Radisson, so you are guaranteed to have a fabulous stay in the city.
Alternatively, the city also has numerous b & bs & backpacker hostels, which are well suited to travellers on a budget.

Nightclubs in Stockholm?
Hi. My friend and I are staying in Stockholm from the 22nd to the 25th of April.
I wanted to find out where would be good to out at night. We are both 21, well dressed/groomed and from England. Into dance, house, drum n bass and dubstep.
I have done a bit of research on the internet and it seems Stockholm are big on pretentious ‘VIP Clubs’, where you have to either be a member or an attractive girl. I have alsop read some guys have not been let in, based purely on their looks, the amount of people they are with or their nationality.
I will be greatly disappointed if I travel all the way to Stockholm and find out we aren’t going to get let into bars/clubs, we aren’t trouble-makers and won’t let the image of their club down?

It’s normally larger groups of guys that are refused, 2 guys alone should have an easier time especially if you arrive early to beat the queue (23.00). Your biggest problem isn’t going to be your looks, but your age. Many of the better Stockholm clubs (not just the VIP ones at Stureplan) have age limits of 23 or 25 and they are very strict about it. Cover is higher than you might expect too, usually 100-150 kr. You also might be disappointed at the house/dnb type clubs in Stockholm.. they really aren’t up to UK standard and many have closed over the last few years. I honestly don’t know where to tell you to go, everything I can find for those dates that might interest you is 23+.
Maybe Raw Fusion at Mosebacke (last Saturday of every month), their age limit is 20 and they play deep house.

The best places to go to Europe for a 21?
Finding a good idea to go to Europe for a 21st birthday. Three of us have our birthday number 21 in a month of trying to do a common thing. All men and there are about 8 men total. Want to go somewhere cheapish hand nightlife is good, not too far in the UK. Looking to go in early February to date ideas of Frankfurt (go in the Cocoon club) may be a ski holiday, perhaps in Prague. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I need advice from local people familiar with the region of Brussels?
In late May or early June, I will travel to Europe during a school trip. I am new to the university. For most of the day, our teachers will be our lead to the usual tourist spots there and lectures on of them. However, we have the afternoon and the rest of the night to do whatever we want.
