Here’s why you should.

1. Poland has many castles and palaces, making it a romantic fairytale of a place in some regions. If you like learning more about the lives of the people who lived in the castles and palaces, then you’ll love the Lancut Palace, and the Malbork Castle in Greater Gdansk.

2. The Mazury Lake District in Eastern Poland, is popular with those who like water sports. So if you’re a keen sailor or like the idea of exploring over 2500 small lakes you’ll love it here. The Pieniny and Czorsztyn lake region, in southern Poland, are perfect if you like the sound of hiking, or rafting, and enjoying some of the best scenery in Europe, you’ll really be in your element here

3. The Wolinski National Park on the Baltic Coast may be one of the smallest in Poland, but it’s also one of the most beautiful. There’s plenty of forest areas to explore, and lots of wildlife, including bison and sea eagles, and home to many plants including 16 varieties of orchids.

4. Poland is steeped in history, and there’s lots of culture to experience. Although the death camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau need no introduction, and there are lots of exhibits including personal artefacts which act as sobering reminders of what happened here.

5. Perhaps you’ve had a weekend break in Krakow, or Warsaw already, and want to explore more of Poland. Why not come back again for a longer holiday, instead of choosing somewhere in Western Europe?

6. Poland really isn’t too far away. You’ll be able to spend more time enjoying yourself, and getting to know this amazing country, and less time getting here.

7. By flying from your local airport, Poland is easy to get to and you can get away for the weekend, or enjoy a midweek city break without needing to spend most of your time travelling.

8. There’s plenty to see and do here at any time of year. Whether you want to explore a museum, enjoy the lakes, or sample the hospitality of cities like Krakow, you don’t need to leave your weekend away until the summer.

9. Because there’s lots to see and do here, Poland is becoming a popular hen and stag weekend destination. Why not see what activities you can find to do, before enjoying the great nightlife in one of the major cities?

10. No matter whether you’re young or old, you’ll have a great time in Poland, and although you might want to spend more time in the galleries than the cafes, or the nightclubs might be more appealing than the museums, you’ll find the way of life, food, and attitude here most agreeable.

Now you know why you should come here, perhaps now is the time to book your flights to Poland.

If you’re tempted, then why not book your Flights to Krakow online at RobinHoodAirport.com today, and fly from your local airport. You’ll also be able to book your hotel, car hire and Airport Car Parking when you book your flights, so you’ll save time as well as money.

His father, Douglas Frederick Springsteen, was Dutch and Irish descent and has worked, among other trades, such as a bus driver, his name Dutch is the cornerstone. His mother, Adele Ann (not Zerilli) was legal secretary Pedigree and was Italian. His grandfather was born in Vico Equense, a town near Naples. He has two younger sisters, Virginia and Pamela. Springsteen was inspired to make music at the age of seven after seeing Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan Show. At age 13, bought his first guitar for $ 18 later, his mother took a loan to buy a guitar from Springsteen 16 $ 60 Kent, he commemorated in his song "Desire."

In 1965 he went to the house of Tex and Marion Vinyard, who sponsored youth groups in the city. They helped to become later, the guitarist and singer of The Castilla. The Castillas recorded two original songs in a recording studio in Brick Township and the public has played a variety of venues, including Cafe Wha? in Greenwich Village. Marion Vinyard said he believed that the young Springsteen when he promised to make it big.

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 1984, said, "When I'm on the bus to take my body, I thought one thing: I will. "He suffered a concussion in a motorcycle accident when he was 17, and with his" crazy "behavior during induction and failing tests, was sufficient to obtain a 4F.

Cities like New Jersey Beach Asbury Park, New Jersey inspired the themes of ordinary life in music Bruce Springsteen.

In the late 1960s, Springsteen briefly in a power trio known as the Earth moves in clubs in New Jersey. Springsteen has acquired the nickname from "The Boss" during this period when he played club gigs with a band that was careful to collect payment on the nights of the group and distributed musicians. Springsteen, however, never liked this nickname because of his aversion to the chiefs. Recently, however, seems to have accepted the nickname. Many recent concerts Public have different signs found in the flags of the plates, and so on, saying: "Boss of time." Previously, he had the nickname "Doctor." From 1969 to early 1971, Springsteen performed with Steel, which also featured Danny Federici, Vini Lopez, Vinnie Roslin and later Steve Van Zandt and Robbin Thompson. They went to play on the college circuit of the Atlantic, and also briefly in California. In January 1970 San Francisco Examiner critic known Philip Elwood musical credibility Springsteen gave his brilliant assessment Steel Mill: "Never was so overwhelmed by the talent completely unknown." Elwood went on to praise his "musical cohesion and, in particular, a simple Springsteen as a composer very impressive." During this time Springsteen also performed regularly at small clubs in Asbury Park and along the Jersey shore, quickly gathering a cult following. Other acts followed over the next two years, as Springsteen sought to shape an authentic style and unique musical and lyrical Dr. Zoom and the Sonic Boom (early 1971), Sundance Blues Band (mid 1971) and the group of Bruce Springsteen (1971id mid 1972). With the addition of pianist David Sancious, the nucleus of what later became the E Street Band was formed, with occasional temporary additions such as brass sections, "The Zoomettes" (a group of singers "Dr. Zoom") and Southside Johnny Lyon on harmonica. genera exploring the blues, R & B, church music, jazz, rock to the top, and soul. His prolific writing ability with words in the songs as to Other artists in particular were full albums, brought his expertise to the care of several people who were about to change your life: new managers Mike Appel and Jim Cretecos, and the legendary Columbia Records talent scout John Hammond, who, under the pressure of Appeals, auditioned Springsteen in May 1972.

Even Springsteen after an international reputation, its New Jersey roots showed in his music, and he has often praised "the great state of New Jersey "In their live performances. Drawing on his extensive local appeal, usually consecutive nights sold in the main New Jersey and Philadelphia. Also appeared surprised many at The Stone Pony and Other Shore nightclubs over the years, becoming the main representative Jersey Shore sound.

19721974: initial struggle for success

Springsteen has signed a contract with Columbia Records in 1972 with the help of John Hammond, who had signed Bob Dylan to the same label a decade earlier. Springsteen is a lot of his colleagues in the study of New Jerseyased with it, thus forming the E Street Band (even if not formally designated as such a couple of years). Their first album, Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ, published in January 1973, became a critical favorite, though sales were slow. Due to the Springsteen lyric poetry and popular music rockooted example in songs like "Blinded by the Light" and "For You" and the British Hammond and connections, critics initially compared to Bob Dylan Springsteen. "He sings with a freshness and urgency I have not heard since I've been shaken "a" Rolling Stone "wrote Crawdaddy magazine editor Peter Knoble on Springsteen's first interview / profile, in March 1973. Crawdaddy" discovered " Springsteen in the rock press and was its youngest champion. (Springsteen and the E Street Band has been recognized, giving a private concert at the tenth anniversary party in Crawdaddy New York in June 1976.) Review Music Lester Bangs wrote in Creem in 1975, when Springsteen's first album was released many of us ….." dismissed: he wrote Like Bob Dylan and Van Morrison, sang like Van Morrison and Robbie Robertson, and led a band like Van Morrison. "The track" Spirit In The Night "especially showed Morrison's influence, while" Lost in the Flood "was the first of many portraits of Vietnam veterans and" Growin 'Up' point of view for the first time on the topic of adolescence.

In September 1973, her second album, The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle was released, again critical acclaim but not commercial success. Springsteen's songs became great form and scope, with the E Street Band offering people less, more R & B Vibe lyrics tend to idealize the life of the street in adolescence. "04 July, Asbury Park (Sandy)" and "Incident on 57th Street "would become fan favorites, and the long, exciting" Rosalita (come out tonight) "Springsteen continues to rank number concerts of the most beloved.

In the edition of May 22, 1974, Boston The Real Paper, music critic Jon Landau wrote after seeing a show Theatre in Harvard Square: "I've seen the future of rock and roll, and its name is Bruce Springsteen. And one night when I needed to feel young, he made me feel as if you heard score for the first time. "Landau subsequently became Springsteen's manager and producer, helping to end the epic album, Born to Run. Given a big budget in a last effort at a commercially viable record, Springsteen has stalled the recording process while striving for a wall of production sound. But, prompted by the publication of a mixture of the principles of "Born to Run" to progressive rock radio, built in anticipation of the launch the album. Throughout the album took over 14 months to record, with only six months devoted to the song "Born To Run." Meanwhile, Springsteen struggled with anger and frustration on the album, and said he heard "noises in [the head]" I could not explain other in the study. It was during these sessions Recording as "Miami" Steve Van Zandt in the study would fall just in time to help organize Springsteen horn section on "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" (Contribution in writing is their only album), and finally led to join the E Street Band. [Edit] Van Zandt had been an old friend of Springsteen, and collaborative previous projects music and understand where it comes from, which allowed him to translate something from Springsteen sound was heard. However, at the end of the recording sessions exhausting, Springsteen has not been satisfied, and, after hearing the first album was done, the record threw down the hall and told Jon Landau, prefer to simply copy the album Live at The Bottom Line, a place where I used to play. 19751983: The breakthrough

On August 13, 1975, Springsteen and the E Street Band began a five-night stand 10 show in New York at the Bottom Line club. The compromise drew the attention of the media, was broadcast live on WNEW-FM, and convinced many skeptics that Springsteen was for real. (Decades later, Rolling Stone magazine that the name of the stand, a 50 moments that changed Rock and Roll.) With the release of Born August 25, 1975 Run, Springsteen finally found success. The album peaked number 3 on the Billboard 200, and there were singles, "Born To Run" (Billboard # 23), "Thunder Road" "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out" (Billboard # 83), and "Jungleland" all received massive rock of the antenna and remain perennial favorites on many classic rock stations. Writing and recording has been disciplined before, while maintaining an epic sense. With its panoramic imagery, thundering production and desperate optimism, Born to Run is considered by some fans as one of the best rock and roll albums of all time and Springsteen's best work. Rock made a sincere and dynamic personality who has spoken to roll and the voice of a great rock of the public. To crown the triumph, Springsteen appeared on the covers of two Time and Newsweek the same week, on October 27 this year. So great was the wave of publicity that Springsteen eventually rebelled against it in its first venture abroad, the demolition of promotional posters before a concert in London.

A court battle with former manager Mike Appel kept Springsteen out of the studio for more than two years, during which he has kept the E Street Band together through an extensive touring in the U.S. Despite the optimistic fervor with which he has done many times, the new songs he was writing and often debut had taken a darker tone than many of his earlier work. Go Settlement Appeal in 1977, Springsteen finally returned to the studio, and sessions produced after Darkness on the Edge of Town (1978). Musically, this album was a turning point in Springsteen's career. After the first quick fire lyrics characters, too large and long-term, multi-part musical compositions of the first two albums, now the songs were leaner and more carefully developed and started to think more and more the intellectual and political consciousness Springsteen. Some fans consider Darkness Springsteen's best and most consistent, songs like "Badlands" and "The Promised Land" became concert staples for decades to come, while the track "Prove It All Night", was a significant amount of radio rock album. Other fans prefer the work of adventure Springsteen principle. The 1978 tour the country to promote the book became legendary as the intensity and duration of their shows.

In the late 1970s, Springsteen has earned a reputation in the world of pop songwriting, which material could provide hits for other bands. Manfred Mann's Earth Band received a U.S. number one pop struck with a strong rearrangement "For You and Greetings "Blinded by the Light" in early 1977. Patti Smith has reached number 13 with Springsteen making unreleased "Because the Night" (Which Smith co-wrote) in 1978, while The Pointer Sisters hit number two in 1979, Springsteen also unreleased "Fire".

Springsteen concert Torre del Rio. Drammenshallen, Drammen, Norway, May 5, 1981.

In September 1979, Springsteen and the E Street Band joined the Organization Safety of musicians against nuclear power collective at Madison Square Garden two nights while playing a game while short preview two songs from her upcoming album. Thereafter, no nukes live album, and the following summer film no nuclear bombs, represented the first official records and images Springsteen legendary live act, and DIP Springsteen first attempt in political participation.

Springsteen continued to consolidate its thematic focus on class working life with the double album of 20 songs of the river in 1980, which included a series of deliberately paradoxical rock material left early to ride emotionally intense, and finally yielded his first hit Top Ten single as a performer, "Hungry Heart." This album marked a turning point in Springsteen's music a pop-rock sound, but that was all in the absence of any of his previous work. This is a consequence of adopting certain stylistic features pop-rock eighty sounds like drums, tenor, percussion, guitar, very basic and repetitive lyrics apparent in most of the tracks. The title of the song made its orientation Springsteen intellectual, while a couple of minor known issues foreshadowed the musical direction. The album sold well, becoming his first Billboard chart topper Pop Albums chart and a long tour in 1980 and 1981, with Springsteen view early works of Europe, ending with a series of multi-night arena located in major cities in the U.S.

The river was followed in 1982 by Stark solo acoustic Nebraska. According to the Marsh biographies, Springsteen was in a depressed state when he wrote this material, and the result is brutal representation of American life. The title is about the murder of Charles Starkweather Spree. According to Marsh, the album that started as a demonstration of the new work to be played with the E Street Band, but during the registration process Springsteen and Landau was the producer worked best solo songs in acoustic. Several recording sessions with the E Street Band has brought to realize that the original recording, made in Springsteen's home a simple low-tech tape recorder to four lanes, have been the best versions they were going to do. However, these sessions are not for nothing that the group has recorded several new songs that Springsteen had written addition to the Nebraska area, including "Born in the USA" and "Glory Days." These new songs will not be released until two years later, when they formed the basis of Springsteen's upcoming album.

While Nebraska did not sell well, he won critical acclaim (including being named "Album of the Year" by Rolling Stone critics) and later the influence of other important works by major artists, including albums by U2, The Joshua Tree. Helped to inspire the musical genre known as Lo-Fi become a cult classic among indie-rockers. Springsteen did not leave on tour with the launching of Nebraska.

19841991: commercial and popular phenomenon

Springsteen is probably best known for his album Born in the U.S. (1984), which has sold 15 million copies U.S. and became one of the biggest selling albums of all time with seven singles hitting the top 10, and around the world to the phenomenal success that followed. The title was a bitter comment on the treatment of Vietnam veterans, some of whom were friends of Springsteen and other members of the group. The words in verses were very clear when you hear, but music and the title anthem of the song, it was difficult for many politicians to the person common for the lyricsxcept the choir, which could be interpreted in different ways. The song was interpreted widely as sexist, and in the context of 1984 presidential campaign has been the subject of considerable folklore. Springsteen also turned down several million dollars offered by Chrysler Corporation to use song in a commercial vehicle. (Years later, to remove the stress and make the song original meaning more explicitly clear, Springsteen performed the song accompanied only by acoustic guitar. An acoustic version also appeared on the runways, a record later.) "Dancing in the Dark" was the eldest of seven singles from Born in the USA, reaching number 2 on the Billboard lists. The clip of song featured a young Courteney Cox dance on stage with Springsteen, one aspect that helped create the career of the actress. The song "Cover Me" was written by Springsteen for Donna Summer, but her record company convinced him to keep the new album. A big fan of summer job, Springsteen wrote another song for his "protection." The videos from the album were made by acclaimed director Brian De Palma and John Sayles. Springsteen appeared on "We Are the World "song and album in 1985.

During the trip Born in the USA, Springsteen met actress Julianne Phillips. They married in Lake Oswego, Oregon, May 13, 1985, surrounded by intense media attention. Opposed to the back, their marriage did not last long. Springsteen's 1987 album Tunnel of Love described some of their problems in the relationship, and for the next Tunnel of Love Express Tour, as reported by many tabloids, Springsteen had with the singer Patti Scialfa backup. Phillips and Springsteen filed for divorce in 1988. The divorce was finalized in 1989.

Springsteen's performance at the Berlin Tunnel of Love Express Radrennbahn Weiensee East July 19, 1988.

The birth in the period of U.S. represented the height of Springsteen's visibility in popular culture and most demographic audience is reached one day (helped by the launch of the dance mix of Arthur Baker, three of the singles). Live/197585, a record box five (also on three cassettes or three CDs) was released in late 1986 and became the first radio on a number of U.S. graphics. It is one of the albums most successful live music all the time, eventually selling 13 million units in the United States Live / 197 585 abstract Springsteen career to this point and shows some of the elements that made their performances so powerful to his fans: the mournful cries rocker switch party and in the back, the sense of common purpose between artist and audience, the long and intense passages the word before the songs, including those describing Springsteen difficult relationship with his father, and instrumental dexterity the E Street Band, and in the long coda to "Racing in the Street. Despite its popularity, some fans and critics felt the album song selection would been better. Springsteen concerts are the subjects of pirate recording frequent exchanges between the fans.

Leading International megastardom Springsteen in the mid 80s were no less than five Springsteen magazines that circulate in the same time in the UK and many other places. Gary Desmond Candy 's Room " produced in Liverpool, has been first in 1980, followed closely by Dan French point of "white", "Dave Percival Jackson Cage The Fever, Jeff Matthews" Rendezvous "and Paul Limbrick. In the U.S., began in Seattle Backstreets Magazine and is now pursuing a glossy publication, now in communication with the Executive Springsteen and the official site.

After purchasing this peak, Springsteen released the most quiet and contemplative Tunnel of Love (1987), a mature reflection about the many faces of love found, lost and squandered, which only selectively used the E Street Band. Announced his marriage break Julianne Phillips. Reflecting the difficulties of love in Brilliant Disguise, Springsteen sang:

I heard someone call your name from underneath our willow. I saw something Located in shame under her pillow. Well I tried so hard baby, but I do not see. What a woman like you with me.

Later Tunnel of Love Express Tour rocked fans with the changes scenery, favorites from the list together, and the relevant base. During the European tour in 1988, Springsteen's relationship with Scialfa is made public. Later, in 1988, Springsteen called human rights in the world now! Amnesty International Tour. In the fall of 1989, disbanded E Street Band, and he and Scialfa moved to California. Springsteen married Scialfa in 1991. They have three children: Evan James (born 1990), Jessica Rae (b. 1991) and Sam Ryan (born 1994).

19922001: commercial and artistic highs and lows

In 1992, after allegations of risk "going Hollywood" by from Los Angeles (a radical change for someone so tied to the lives of blue collar workers at the Jersey Shore) and working with session musicians, Springsteen released two albums at once. Human Touch and Lucky Town were even more introspective than all his previous work and shows a new found confidence. Unlike their first two albums, which dreamed of happiness, and their next four, who taught him to fear growing points on the album Lucky Town, Springsteen made the claims happiness for himself.

Some E Street Band fans voiced (and continue to voice) a low opinion of these albums, including Human Touch and then did not follow the "Other Band" Tour. other fans, however, that only come to know Springsteen after the reunification in 1975 of the E Street Band, has found the visit a great opportunity to see Springsteen develop a working group on phase relationship with another group of musicians, and seeing the look of the Asbury Park soul-and-gospel base in some of his classic material.

A electric band appearance on the television show MTV Unplugged acoustic (later published as In Concert / MTV capped) was poorly received and the additional fan grounded dissatisfaction. Springsteen seemed to realize this after a few years, when he spoke humorously of his late father at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame speech Acceptance:

I have to thank him because I imagine what they have written about without him? I mean, you can imagine that if all went well between us, we must have disaster. So glad I wrote songs and I tried in the early 90s and did not work, the public loves.

A multiple Grammy, Springsteen also won an Oscar in 1994 for his song "Streets of Philadelphia" which appeared on the soundtrack of the movie Philadelphia. The song, with the film, was hailed by many for its sympathetic portrait of a gay man dying of AIDS. [Citation needed] The song's music video shows the actual performance of Springsteen's voice, Recorded using a microphone hidden in a prerecorded instrumental track. [Citation needed] This technique has been developed in the "Brilliant Disguise" video.

In 1995, after a temporary reorganization of the E Street Band for some new songs recorded for his first Greatest Hits album (a recording session it was in the documentary Blood Brothers), he released his second (mostly) solo guitar album, the ghost of Tom Joad, inspired by Journey to Nowhere: The Saga of the new lower class, a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and photographer Michael Williamson Dale Maharidge. This has generally been well received less than the similar Nebraska because to the tune minimum, nasal voice, and the political nature of most songs, although some praised him for giving voice to immigrants and others who rarely ever have in American culture. Throughout the world solo across the small room acoustics ghost of Tom Joad Tour that followed successfully featured many of his old songs sound radically transformed, and Springsteen had to remind his audience explicitly to be quiet and not to applaud during the proceedings.
