Night clubs in Portland, Oregon AND Vancouver, WA for 18 years of age?
im looking for a nightclub to go dancing at in either of those two places but im only 18. Where is a club that i can get into with some friends? There have been a lot of night clubs in my area that’ve been closed down b/c of shootings so im trying to choose carefully. Thanks!!
There are two in Portland
The Zone is ages 16 to 20 but from what I hear it’s a very young crowd because anyone over 18 goes to 18 up clubs. I think the cover is like $7 to $10.
FX is 18 up and has people around your age. Again people over 21 usually go to a 21 up so the crowd is young. The cover is more expensive it’s $15.

best nightclubs in Montreal?
what are the best nightclubs in montreal for early 20s age group, obviously the nicer ladies the better lol with top 40music and dance music
hows club seven?
737 – 2 floors: one is the last floor of the building and the other floor is actually the roof of the Ville-Marie building. It’s downtown and it’s great, especially in the summer, when you can see the whole city with its lights.
1234 – Nice club. 2 dancefloors: one is dance music and the other is umm… i don’t even know how to say it. Like Sean Paul kind of music.
Light Ultra Club – The place looks great. Expensive bottles, like anywhere I guess. The music is the mainstream dance songs. The popular ones at the moment.
Club Opera – Go there if there’s a special event. I’ve been there twice. Each time, there was an event. Got a pornhub.com cap haha. There are two floors. (dancefloor + balcony) The lights are real nice. ANd the disco ball
That club is on the “edges” of downtown. It’s not near most of the other ones.
Loft – There’s a lot of kids with fake IDs in that club lol. Close to Opera. Never been. But I’ve heard of the kids thing
Tokyo Bar – It’s not very big. You can dance there but it gives me the impression that it was more of a lounge than a club. Still, they play dance songs.
La Boom – Apparently it’s really nice. And most girls are slutty. (that’s what I’ve heard many times! lol) But yeah, maybe I’m wrong.
La Mouche – It’s fancy. Usually, they say people 25+ should go there but if you don’t look too young or immature, they’ll let you in. Strict dress code. Certainly no jeans. I’m 21 and each time I went, they let me in.
So those are the places I go to most of the time. Except for Loft. I went on google and found a good website. They forgot to include MANY clubs but still okay:

Check the nightclubs column and you see the addresses, ratings and comments.
Have fun!!!

Where can I find a list of bars and restaurants that existed in the City of New York prior to 1899 >?
I know that prior to the early 1900′s bars and restaurants in the City of NY were licensed by the City. However ,in the early 1900s these establishments were required to turn in their licenses and become licensed by the State of New York. There is a data base with this information in the municipal archives but no one I speak to in the municipal govenment can tell me where to find it. I am attempting to compile a list bars and restaurants that existed in the City of New York prior to 1899 and are still extant. Any suggestions ?
If you go to the Library – Science and Industry on Madison and 35th Street, ask to go through the business directories – they are sorted by classification – for some of the years you’re interested in – it’s all in there. (The Brooklyn Public Library has an excellent Business Library at Cadman Plaza near Tillary Street – near the Supreme Court Building – they have this information, too)
Also, the librarian at the Mid-Manhattan branch on Fifth and 40th, in the food section should be able to help you.
Check The New York Historical Society, 2 West 77th Street, New York, NY 10024 [212] 873-3400
I can think of quite a few bars and restaurants that were opened in the nineteenth century:
McSorley’s Old Ale House in the East Village on East 7th and Third Avenue;
Chumley’s in Greenwich Village on Bedford and Barrow;
The White Horse Tavern on Hudson and 11th (not sure if this is its original location):
The Ear Inn on Spring Street;
The Bridge Cafe on Water and Dover (I think is the oldest still running establishment);
Delmonico’s on Beaver and William Streets
Fanelli’s on Prince Street in Soho
Good luck.

How To Sell Photographs To Happy Couples In Bars And Nightclubs!
If you have been scratching your head, wondering how to sell photographs, the nightclub gig is one of my favourites. It’s ideal if you want to start making money fast, because you don’t need much preparation work, and it is easy to do. You do need a camera that takes decent pictures in low light, but most modern cameras can handle this easily. Experiment to ensure your camera takes satisfactory photographs in venues like nightclubs, bars and similar.
To carry out the plan you will need a small portable printer and preferably a friend, to carry it in a backpack. Other than some change in your pocket and a USB cable this is all you need. Don’t worry about the idea of having someone carrying a printer all night, as portable printers are tiny and run off batteries. There are models available weighing as little as 3lbs.
Head out to nightclubs, bars etc., but don’t start taking pictures until you have spoken to the owner of the establishment. Go up to them and say you want to take photographs of punters with their girlfriends and will be charging around $10/$20 a time. Say you will give them 10% and you may find that many say yes. If not, no worries – head off to the next venue until you do get a yes. Remember to dress smartly – first impressions count in this game.
Once you have permission, approach couples that appear to be having a good time, and ask them if they would like a photograph taken and printed out for $10/$20 and if they say yes, do it. Now you basically go round the venue with your friend in tow taking pictures and collecting cash…and then you go to the next venue and start again. I recommend putting your email address on the back of the photographs, as this may well create some other photographic leads for you.
While this can seem a somewhat crude business model, if you are serious about wanting to know how to sell photographs, this can be pleasingly lucrative, even more so on a Friday and Saturday. Also as this is evening work, it doesn’t interfere with your day job. Be prepared for some rejections along the way – you will find that the more you do this, the easier it gets to approach complete strangers and ask politely if they want your service.
After a few weeks you may find you become somewhat of a tourist attraction, and people actually start coming to the venues that you will be at, just to get their pictures taken. This can become a growing business, and once this happens you may be able to raise your prices. Whether you charge $10 or $20 per picture will depend on you, but I recommend you base this decision on the clientele that frequent the establishment you are targeting.
Some guys can have a hard job saying they don’t want a picture with their girlfriend, and subsequently this is why this method works well. Additionally, it can be quite amusing to start recognising different couples, especially when they turn up with different partners you saw them with before. This is only one of several ways of how to sell photographs – but it’s certainly one of the most fun.

New York Offers a Host of Fantastical Festive Breaks
Transforming into a sparkling winter wonderland, complete with festive markets and a range of highly anticipated annual events, Christmas is one of the best times of the year to witness New York in all its iconic glory. Indeed, from the magnificent Rockefeller Center Christmas tree to the fantastical window displays at Macy’s, the Big Apple is a superb destination to head to for a magical Christmas break.
No trip to New York would be complete without heading to Little Italy. Located in Lower Manhattan, it is famous for pulling out all the stops at Christmas time. Filled with glittering lights and impressive decorations, it is the perfect place to get into the spirit of things. Kicking off on December 5, there are a number of weekly parades and free weekend performances to experience, as well as a host of stalls to browse.
Cited as the birthplace of Broadway, the Big Apple also offers up some of the very best theatre performances around. An annual highlight, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker is a definite must-see. Having first taken to the stage in New York in 1954, it is a firm festive favourite with both the city’s residents and its visitors, and is ideal for taking the children to.
Ice skating is another seasonal must and New York offers up some fantastic icy opportunities. Open from November through to January, Bryant Park plays host to some excellent ice skating action. It is even possible to soak up the glorious city views whilst you whizz around the rink. The Polar Ice Rink at the American Museum of Natural History, complete with a 17 foot polar bear, is also stunning.
Offering up an unparalleled selection of shopping opportunities, New York is also ideal for buying your Christmas presents. In fact, ranging from the uber-glamorous boutiques of Madison Avenue and the high street stores scattered around Times Square, to the cheap and chic bargains in the New York Garment District, there’s a wealth of shops to choose from, meaning you don’t have to battle it out down your local high street in order to complete your yuletide shopping list.
To simply wander around the city and marvel at its sights, it can be worth checking out the range of walking tours available. A great way to see New York, the guided tours can be useful for providing an insight into the history of the city, as well as showing you some of the Big Apple’s hidden treasures.
In addition to the many Christmas experiences to be had, New York is filled to the brim with a range of tasty restaurants and cafés to try out and trendy bars and nightclubs to experience. Not only that, but there are hundreds of accommodation options to choose from, like the superb selection of New York hotels, meaning every budget is catered for.

Think of Scotland and you’ll probably get an image of the lone piper in traditional Highland dress playing at the top of a mountain. Or you’ll picture the quaint cobbled streets of fishing villages, the blasting personality of Edinburgh’s Old Town and the gorgeous, dynamic images of the West Coast.
A lot of people don’t think about the streets of Glasgow or the incredible city’s large part in Scottish heritage, tourism and commerce. Glasgow is a city that’s industrious in many ways: built during a period of great industrial growth, the sprawling city was founded on a great promise of bringing wealth to Scottish soil. This is reflected in the city’s criss-crossed layout, organised to the last detail to encourage hard work and production.
But factories and warehouses aren’t all Glasgow has to offer by a long shot. Step into the streets of this charming and beautiful city to experience the sight of some of the most magnificent architecture in the country. Marvel at Glasgow’s Victorian housing and Charles Rennie Mackintosh art nouveau style buildings.
If intricate and delicate design is your taste, you’ll want to visit the University of Glasgow’s main building and stroll through the grounds of what can only be described as something that is to be seen to be believed. What’s more, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, as well as the Glasgow City Chambers are all illuminating examples of what this city has to offer by way of breathtaking buildings.
But enough about the scenery – there’s a reason so many Scots flock to Glasgow at nights and over weekends and that’s because the city’s shopping and social scenes are rivalled by none. If shopping is your wish then Glasgow holds the answer to your dreams. From bustling Buchanan Street’s high street stores to the city centre’s incredible wealth of theatres, nightclubs and bars, Glasgow has a nightlife bursting with character. No matter what your tastes, Glasgow will provide. Rock fans can hit the Cathouse or Garage, while the SECC looms at the edge of the city and hosts huge events from the hottest pop acts to large stand up comedy shows.
And as for culture, Glasgow is teeming with a vibrancy that would make other cities jealous. Edinburgh is the country’s capital – and for good reason. However, there’s no escaping that Edinburgh is shaped for the tourist industry and those seeking a real flavour of Scottish culture will find it in Glasgow. With all the best live music, theatre and comedy from the Scottish arts scene, as well as excellent cafes, bars, restaurants and art exhibitions, it is perhaps no surprise that there has been an increased popularity in flights to Glasgow when considering which big city to visit first in Scotland.
