World Cruises Offer a Wide Range of Destinations and World Class Luxuries

Today, world cruises offer travelers more choices than ever before, from traveling on large ships that accommodate 2,000 passengers, to sailing on smaller vessels that can navigate into little known, secluded bays.

Several cruise lines offer world cruises in 2011. Some of the more specialized world cruises include the Holland America Line, Crystal Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and the Yachts of Seabourn. Each of these world cruise lines have particular characteristics that separate them into distinctive categories, and, therefore, appeal to different groups of travelers.

Holland America cruises has a long and proud history of delivering extraordinary vacation experiences, starting with its first ship in 1873. It is recognized as one of the prodigious emperors in the cruise industry. Holland America’s fleet of 15 ships offers over 500 cruises from more than 38 home ports, and covers all seven continents. Holland America cruise ships range in size from the Prinsendam carrying 793 passengers to the newest class of ships accommodating more than 2000 passengers. Holland America Grand World Voyages has eight separate grand voyages ranging in length from 29 days to a 110 day cruise. The 110 day, Holland America Grand World Voyage starts and ends at Ft. Lauderdale circumnavigating the entire world, and docking at more than 40 ports of call. Other shorter cruises target certain sections of the globe. Some start at Fort Lauderdale, and disembark either in Australia, or New Zealand. Others start at Australia or New Zealand, and sail to Greece, China, or the United Arab Emirates. Some of the ships are dedicated to a particular theme that may include museum quality art works, antiques, Mayan art, or a tribute to the world’s great music.

In 2010, Crystal Cruises will offer a 110 day voyage on the Crystal Serenity starting from Los Angeles and ending in London. The Crystal Serenity also has a 94 day voyage that is round trip sailing from and returning to Los Angeles in 2011. Other 2011 excursions on the Crystal Serenity include shorter trips to Papeete, Auckland, Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai, Cape Town, and London. These shorter voyages have attractive special offers that include 2 for1 fares, free air travel, and “As You Wish” spending credits with varying limits.

The Regent Seven Seas 2011 world cruise has a striking 145 night voyage. Sail on the Seven Seas Voyager from San Francisco west through the South Sea Islands, up through the Suez Canal, and across the Mediterranean to Southampton, England. The Regent Seven Seas world cruise is offering you an opportunity to personalize your own cruise itinerary by allowing you to combine several cruises of your choice into one perfect cruise. In October, 2010, Regent Seven Seas Cruises was voted the world’s best cruise line in the “large ship” category by the 2010 Condé Nast Traveler magazine readers’ poll, with an overall score of 92.3%. Travel and Leisure magazine also ranked Regent Seven Seas Cruises among the “Top 10 Large Ship Cruise Lines.”

The Yachts of Seabourn world cruise offers ultra-luxury voyages on smaller, more intimate sized yachts which offer 104 to 225 suites with plush amenities. These smaller boats can navigate into bays, harbors and inlets where the large ships are prevented. This allows the traveler to see sights that many have never seen before. Seabourn world cruises offer complimentary wines and open bars thoughout the yacht, as well as all-suite accommodations, many with verandas. Seabourn world cruises have many unique features such as “Movies Under the Stars,” “Dessert Under the Stars,” or the nights when the Captain turns off all the ship’s lights so passengers can appreciate the Milky Way while sipping 25 year old scotch. Daytime activities may include water skiing in a tucked away bay using the yacht’s onboard Watersport Marina Facilites. Sailboating, Pedal Boating, and other water activities are also available. In-the-sea surprises might include “Caviar in the Surf” with champagne and caviar served on a surfboard “bar,” or taking a swim in the ocean surrounded by a circle of steel mesh to keep you safe from hungry predators.

Whatever your cruising preferences may be, you are sure to be well pampered and pleasantly entertained on the Holland America world cruises, Crystal world cruises, the Regent world cruises, or the Seabourn world cruises.

Best nightclubs in downtown Toronto..?

Hello,
I was wondering what the best nightclubs in downtown toronto are? I’m looking for clubs that include the following:
- 19-25 age group or university students
- cheap drinks/cheap cover ($5-$10)
- located in a busy street filled with other bars/clubs so i can easily bar-hop (i heard richmond st and college st are good)
- variety of music, lots of remixes, top 40, hip-hop, RnB

Also, how long do you typically have to wait in line to get into the clubs in downtown toronto? and how difficult is it to get on the guestlist? And are the clubs located close to bus stops and whatnot? thanks!

Brunswick House is a great place that incorporate the four criteria you listed. It’s more of a club/bar scene. The plus side is the dress code is lax, but don’t show up looking like a mess. The nearest major intersection is Bloor St. and Spadina.

Uptown? Roxy Bar & Grille?

Anyone remember these restaurants? TOTT still there? I think the Roxy is gone, what now? I remember buffet impressive football game earlier in the Roxy – Oh, what fun! I moved to Cleveland eight years ago and was curious to see what happens. Thanks!

Both are gone, unfortunately. I loved to take people who were visiting here at the top of the bar in the city for drinks with a great view of the city. I do not know that anything ever came into any space. The center stage has somehow changed since you left the city. Most bars and restaurants are in the warehouse district around W6h and St. Clair. They have also developed a new E4th area between Prospect and Euclid Avenue, where Michael Symon Lola restaurant is therefore the House of Blues Hiliarities comedy club. Tremont is another popular area for eating and drinking. The city is also the redevelopment of the Playhouse Square area, which we hope make some new restaurants and clubs in the center of the scene. You should come visit – surely there are new things happening since you moved!

what is there to do and how do i get around Melbourne, Australia?

im going to melbourne, australia for the month of july and im having trouble finding a hostel and things to do in that area. if you could please help me out i would appreciate it. i enjoy live music shows, comedy, bars, that sort of thing. not really into clubs.

Getting around is extremely easy in Melbourne because of all the trams and trains but it may get a little squishy you can go to the RACV site and that might give you a number and they will recommend a travel agent for getting a hostel, plenty of pubs (bars as you call them) also hundreds of clubs but you don’t like them so i don’t know why i typed that.

The Regent Theatre is popular including shows like ‘wicked’ also Aussie rules football is the most popular of them all at the Etihad stadium and the MCG (my pic), also lots of comedy acts like Danny Bhoy and Russell Brand etc at the other theatres.

The Eureka Tower is cool too because it has a room at the very top like an elevator except the walls are black and you walk in and the doors close then it moves out ways and then stops and the black walls turn see-through including the floor so you can see down to the ground.

There is also the Southern Star observation wheel that is a smaller version of the ”London Eye” but the southern star is currently closed due to a crack in the supports that was found and they need to build scaffolding up to it to fix it, it may be fixed by the time you go, I’m not sure it has only been open for 2 months and it’s broken already i don’t know how it will go in the future.

Also if you like creepy things the old Melbourne Gaol where Ned Kelly was hung is creepy because you can now stand where he stood because the trap door has been screwed down tightly, you can see where he is buried too. there is also fake prisoners in the cells it’s creepy. have fun :)

Travel to Washington, DC?

I am traveling to DC at the end of July with my husband. We are both in our early 30′s. We wish to see the typical tourist attractions of DC during the day, but also desire to have something fun to do at night besides sit in the hotel (bars, restaurants, etc., not night clubs). I am wondering the best area of DC to stay to fulfill these requests? I do not mind taking cheap transportation during the day (metro?) but would prefer to be close by things to do at night so we can safely walk to and from these activities. Downtown? Capital area? Georgetown/Foggy Bottom? Dupont Circle? Please advise-I can find deals in all these areas but don’t know which one to choose. Thanks!

I lived in DC for about 50 years until a few years ago. While I have a long history with the city, things do change. But from what I remember the place that you want to stay in or near is Georgetown. You can do that by staying in DC or on the Virginia side of the river maybe one or two metro stops away. Georgetown will likely have the bars and restaurants you are looking for. My next recommendation would be downtown, like maybe the Marriott at 14th St and Penn Ave. You could walk to restaurants and the museums from there. The Capitol area has some bars and restaurants but its mainly a day time area. As I recall Dupont Circle is where the gay community hangs out.

Tourism in Atlanta

People who visit the United States never forget to go to Atlanta as it is the seventh-most visited city in the United States, with approximately over 35 million visitors on average. The local attractions, restaurants, shopping and the festivals of Atlanta make it all the more exciting and luring as a vacation spot.

One of the biggest and most famous tourist spot in Atlanta is Georgia Aquarium. It Is the world’s largest aquarium and houses more aquatic life than can be found in any other aquarium anywhere else in the world. The aquarium tanks almost eight million gallons of water. It was officially opened for the public in 2005. Atlanta offers the most wide-ranging arts panorama in the South, and due to it, the city was ranked the ninth-best American city for arts in 2010. Another place of interest for the art and nature interested tourists might be the Atlanta Botanical Garden. It is world of magic and serenity, where latest additions like the Fuqua Orchid Center provides a feast to the visitors eyes to a rare collection of orchids never before grown in the southeast.

The Atlanta zoo is one of the best, well-maintained zoos in the world. This amazing zoo,  is among the oldest in the U.S., and through a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still growing. Its landscaping is almost a replica of the natural habitats of the many animals living there, some of which are rare endangered species. Panda bears from China especially amuse the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do compel the audience with their own charm.

Another highlight of a tour to Atlanta is the visit to CNN Centre- home to the world’s first and largest 24-hour news channel, the CNN Center gives its visitors a Studio Tour that treats them to a behind-the scenes glance at the live newsrooms in act. What to Expect From The Manchester Nightlife

Manchester may appear to be a reserved, academic community with a strong arts community and a real sense of its history by day, but when the sun goes down, it undergoes a complete transformation. If you are looking for a great weekend then get yourself one of the cheap hotels in manchester as the nightlife is nothing less than explosive and it offers many strong reasons to skip an early bed time in order for some late night excitement. However a lot of the main attractions are in the centre so you may prefer to book from one of the hotels in manchester city centre.

Let us start with the music.  Manchester is a music city.  You cannot even count the number of now-famous bands who hail from Manchester or who honed their skills by playing in the pubs, clubs and concert halls of the city.  You could hit the streets every night for months, catching live shows every night, and never see the same band twice.  You can catch top headliners, up-and-comers and amazing local talent in larger shows or in intimate settings.  If you are a music fan, the Manchester nightlife will be right up your alley.  Visit one of the academy venues for some serious rock and roll.  Check out one of the great jazz and R&B clubs.  Whatever your tastes, they will be satisfied by the city’s awesome music scene.

Music is just the tip of the after hours iceberg, though.  The club scene is blistering hot, too.  If you want to dance the night away in world-class clubs, Manchester can provide the opportunity.  From golden oldies to the latest bass-thumping techno and dance music, there are countless opportunities to shake your groove thing on Manchester’s many dance floors.

If kicking back with a few adult beverages is more your thing, you cannot overlook Manchester’s countless pubs.  You have bars packed with college students, pubs populated by local working stiffs, and more.  From traditional British pubs to more modern themed establishments, there is not shortage of places to wet your whistle with some great libations in Manchester.  Do not overlook the numerous artisan beers and pub-specific brews that show off Manchester’s wonderful taste in beer.  There’s always something tasty on tap in Manchester.

One of the best-known facets of Manchester nightlife is the vibrant gay community.  Canal Street is lined with gay and gay-friendly clubs.  The city’s reputation as a gay nightlife capital was fortified by the hit television program Queer as Folks and it more than lives up to its reputation.  Both gay and gay-friendly establishments add to the excitement and activity of Manchester’s nightlife.

No matter how you are and what you like, you will love the Manchester nightlife.  What appears to be a staid, button-down city by day really cuts loose at night.  It is the kind of city in which you will undoubtedly want to stay up late!  Music, dance, drink and more merge into a wonderful experience.
